Echo de menos la exhuberancia irracional

"Exuberancia irracional" es una frase que utilizó el antiguo presidente de la Reserva Federal de EE.UU. en un discurso realizado en el American Enterprise Institute durante el boom bursátil de los años 90: "¿Pero cómo saber cuándo la exuberancia irracional ha escalado excesivamente los activos productivos, que entonces se convierten en el sujeto de contracciones inesperadas y prolongadas como ha pasado en Japón en la última década?". Nadie hizo caso a la advertencia y al poco se produjo el desplome de los mercados bursátiles. Se ha utilizado mucho en retrospectiva para describir los excesos de la pasada era.

La frase me ha venido a la mente después de leer la letra del nuevo single de Simian Mobile Disco. No sé si es intencionado o soy yo, que veo exhuberancia donde no la hay. En cualquier caso, tiene ritmo... (dale al play abajo)
